Running gear and driveshafts

The steering knuckles, torsion arms and other heavy-duty undercarriage components are all being powder coated. As for the gearbox, the search is on for a full set of bearings to restore the transmission to silky-smooth operation. Well, at least to reduce the amount of extraneous rumbling and grinding noises to normal Beetle levels...

Wiring loom

When Julie bought the new loom a couple of years ago, no-one made the exact right one for the '78 1200L model, so the one that's going in is the closest she could get. Of course, it's now possible to get the right one, but they're expensive, so it's not having another. We'll make do.
