What it's aboutThe Last Edition Beetle Register is an informal, voluntarily run organisation for owners and enthusiasts of the last 300 Volkswagen Beetles built in Germany for sale in the United Kingdom. We're trying to track down as many of these cars as possible, and the table below shows how we're getting on. The Register is just for fun. There's no commercial aspect to it - we're just sharing our enjoyment of our little silver friends with one another. There's a place in the table below for each of the 300 LEBs, identified by the number on the plaque attached to its dashboard. However, as not all of the cars were fitted with their plaques, there's a section for the un-numbered ones at the bottom, identified by their registration plates. If you move your mouse pointer across the coloured boxes, you'll see a picture of a beetle pop up if the specific car has its own web page. Click on the beetle to learn more. You'll find a key explaining the meanings of the icons used in the table on the left-hand side of the screen. |

How we're doingSadly, we've recently heard more about several LEBs that have come to grief one way or another. However, news of deaths in the family is an important part of bringing the Register up to date, so please let us know if you've suffered an LEB bereavement. Of course, we'll be altogether more pleased to learn the whereabouts of cars that are still in one piece (or thereabouts). See our Contact page for ways to get in touch, including our on-line registration form. Lest you're doubting the motive behind the Register, it really is free, non-profit, non-commercial, and just-for-fun. We now have numerous pages about individual cars, so you can see the way the information is presented. Keep 'em coming ! |
